Privately owned Physical Therapy practice looking for NYS licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for outpatient office. Our office is highly professional, manual therapy based. Manual Therapy experience is preferred. Two Experience is preferred. New graduates will be considered.

EDUCATION:

  • associate degree

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • An Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Guiding patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities.
  • Utilizing modalities such as heat, cold, and ultrasound as directed.
  • Accurately documenting patient progress and communicating this to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized treatment area.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • A fundamental understanding of physical therapy principles and treatment methodologies.
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team.
